Here you will find my work experience and examples of content I have produced.
At Sportskeeda, I wrote numerous guides, lists, and articles on popular video game topics for around two years.
My page amassed over 5.5 million reads.
At Sportskeeda, I gained experience in WordPress, SEO, and more.
I used Quora as a personal blog in high school to write about psychology and mental health, which I am very passionate about.
On Quora, I have over 1.8 million reads and over 2,000 followers.
Due to the nature of the articles I wrote, I will not share a direct link to my account, but I will provide screenshots to show my numbers.
From 2015 - 2017, I was one of the Mineplex Newsletter managers, a Newsletter for a video game community with over 500k members.
Not only did I run a team of 10+ writers, I also did all of the editing and wrote articles.
I went back to the newsletter team for a few months in 2018 as a writer.
At Mineplex, I was a volunteer on their social media team for almost three years. A few months into joining the team, I was promoted to post creation and editing manager.
My duties included assigning post ideas to other members, approving posts, doing final edits, creating monthly marketing proposals, and tracking the activity of the team.
At Mineplex's peak, the Twitter had over 300k followers.
At Apex Hosting, I was a social media manager with a focus on short form video creation and editing.
My duties included helping manage the Discord server, creating content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok, and moderating the social media accounts.
During my time at the company, I learned how to edit using Premiere Pro and After Effects.
In college, I was a contracted employee at Link2City, a company that sources out social media managers to other companies. During my time at Link2City, I created content for a wide variety of industries, including medicine, education, and more.
While at Mineplex, I was a Staff Manager for a team of mods and trainees. My duties included onboarding new staff members, tracking the progress of my team, giving out biweekly progress reports, documenting information on Trello, answering any questions my team had, and more.
Overall, I'd say the most important part of managing a team is being there for them at all times. I built very strong bonds with my team members, and did everything in my power to make them more comfortable. Since a lot of Minecraft moderators are pretty young, I would often have mods come to me for real life advice. I've helped write resumes, been listed as a reference, given relationship advice, helped with homework, and more. In my opinion, that is all part of the job, and it was one of my favorite parts!
